Sometimes we get so busy and wrapped up in what we’re doing that we forget where ‘we’ are in all that busy-ness.
We perhaps get caught up in all the things we have to do, our thoughts and stories, and become oblivious to the fact that we’re not breathing properly and that we are holding onto tension. In short, we become disconnected from ourselves, our body; disconnected from our life.
Some of what we do at Brighter Life is promoting greater self and body awareness through a technique called Somato Respiratory Integration (or SRI for short) which works hand-in-hand with your NSA care. Sometimes we might incorporate SRI into your entrainment session however it is also something that you can use at home to help you be more resourced for whatever you have to do that day.
I find those practice members who regularly practice SRI at home are more aware of their body, of how life has an effect on the tension patterns that they hold and progress quicker through their care.
We are holding two SRI workshops this month, to help teach the work and practice the skills. Both on Saturday mornings so I hope you can join us.
Best wishes,
Dave
